Claire Bath

Claire was a community midwife in Christchurch for many years and has been a councillor for Mudeford & Friars Cliff for eight years. Claire lives in Stanpit.

Claire is passionate about protecting the unique heritage and environment of Christchurch and helping local people. She has lived in Christchurch for 36 years and has brought up her three children locally. Claire spearheaded the campaign to rebuild the Highcliffe Castle Zig-Zag path which was threatened with closure and instigated the residents led Coastal Strategy to reflect the wishes of local people. She was deputy leader of Christchurch Council and vice-chairman of the planning committee.

In her spare time, Claire loves being out on Christchurch waters, as well as power-walking along the coastal area of the ward.
