Living in Christchurch his entire life, Peter started work in the aircraft industry as an engineer. Then, Peter moved on to design as a draughtsman, working on Concorde, before moving into a twenty year career in teaching. Before entering into politics, Peter was elected and chaired the Christchurch Citizen's Association. It was during this time that he took a great interest local government.
Peter Hall has been a hard-working Borough Councillor for a number of years with a proven track record of working for the whole community. He has been Mayor of Christchurch and has also represented Christchurch as a Dorset County Councillor. His knowledge of the town and experience of the workings of local authorities will be of great help to Christchurch in the new Unitary authority.
